It had once again been time to get back to training as usual. Athren had taken more than enough time off to build his village and get that stuff sorted out but the cost of that was that he put little time into himself. He knew that though he deserved it, it could be a big mistake. What if he wasn't ready for whomever showed up next to cause destruction on the Earth? Would he simply just die in a fight he could've been prepared for? He wouldn't allow that to be the reason. If he was going to go out, it was going to be by an opponent that deserved it, not a fatal error that he made himself. Though Athren had a long list of technique ideas, he couldn't help but want something a little more special. Something designed for one situation. A situation that Majin Liari had brought him into not too long ago.
Before her, Athren hadn't a single clue what a Majin was and through Zerori he got to understand exactly what she was capable of and Athren could sense the energies inside Liari to confirm it to be true. A warrior that absorbed others, claimed their abilities as their own, claimed their power and went on claim the next. It wasn't exactly the most comforting thing to think about and there was a solid what-if lingering in Athren's mind. What if he failed? What if Liari had beaten him and managed to absorb him? It wasn't exactly unlikely after all. Especially with the fact that Liari was capable of influencing the minds of others. He didn't quite know how it worked but he could tell by Quash that he was under some sort of spell and when he finally broke free, he directed all his anger.
Taking all of those facts and putting them into one train of thought Athren couldn't help but think if there had been somebody else like her, with similar abilities. It wouldn't be hard to influence strong warriors, beat somebody down and absorb them but what-if, that person it happened to was Athren? The abilities Athren had were incredible and made him quite a lethal warrior based on techniques alone and who knew how much he'd amplify a Majin's power if he had been absorbed. He thought that there might not be a single person on the Earth that could match it. Even Callion probably wouldn't be able to pull something like that off. This was a real threat to the Earth, a real threat to Athren's children and it couldn't be allowed. Athren had spent a lot of time thinking about how to prevent this, but to no avail. Though he felt like there was something he was once told that could guide him to the right technique. It was unfortunate that he couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was.
Since he couldn't quite figure that out though, he was going to stick to his training and keep improving upon himself to make sure he was ready for whatever happened next. He couldn't afford not to be ready, with Callion off world it had been quite possible that he'd need to step up once more and save the planet. Even if he just wished to live in peace and stay out of the spotlight, life came first. Today, Athren was off in Bamboo forest for a nice change of scenary. It was yet another location that held little risk of doing any damage to anybody's property or the planet itself. It was quiet, peaceful and the perfect place to get to it.
Today's technique was going to be to bring to life a technique he developed called the Final Nova Impact. This technique was brought up to puncture through the target and hopefully render them out of the fight. If he could hit a vital organ, surely even the healthiest of individuals would topple over until death or a medic had found their way to them and if Athren didn't hit a vital, the blood loss would surely drain their fighting abilities over time. He wasn't quite one to use this style of technique but he had to admit, it had it's uses.
He had visualized it for quite some time and knew how it wanted to implement it. He lifeted his right hand with his index and middle finger pointed out and tight together. His thumb would raise up and stay aside until he was ready to use it. This type of technique didn't really show any external energy charge. He took aim up into the sky and moved his thumb to touch his fingers, once the thumb made contact Athren released a power bolt of energy that darted outwards quickly towards the sky. It was rather thin and narrow, more than enough to puncture through even the toughest of skins.
He was satisfied with the current outcome. The technique was rather bland and basic but it would do the job on low level opponents. He just knew that if he were going to be matched up against stronger foes, it would need to be even better. He would need to increase the power output and increase the damage that it could do. In a dire situation, he'd rather end the fight before it had the opportunity to go wrong. He wasn't going to be gamble with anybody's lives. If he could save them, he'd damn well do it the best way he could. His techniques had to be perfect, with no room for error, no room to make a mistake. They had to deliver when he needed them, they needed to remove pieces off the board. Though he couldn't help but think, A majin would easily be able to dodge something like this. After all, they could manipulate their body in the most unique type of ways. He still had to figure out how to get around that and so far.. nothing had come to mind where he heard of the lead.
